Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, Durgapur was set up by the SKS Educational and Social Trust in 2001 with an objective of imparting quality education in Engineering and Technology. The aim of the College has been to maintain a liaison with the industries on one hand and the premier engineering institutions of the region. The College is Approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE-New Delhi), under Ministry of HRD, the Govt. of India and is Affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). It is recognised by the Govt. of West Bengal.
